The Comutation

Some people on all sides of this country’s political spectrum believe that ‘Scooter Libby’ should be pardoned by the president…They say that he committed no underlying crime…Their belief being that Valerie Phlame was not a covert or protected agent.Oh how these hippocritical people willfully miss the point! ‘Scooter Libby’ did commit,what in this country is considered a crime! He lied to legal officials charged with investigating a serious matter concerning the security of this country. He lied in order to block or misdirect their efforts to find out the truth,thus wasting taxpayers time and money.Less privileged men and women have gone to jail because they lied to the authorities. One female reporter went to jail for almost three months because she would not talk or reveal her sources to the authorities.The President thinks his convicted friend ‘Scooter’ is too fragile to have to withstand being locked in a cage. That ‘jail’ part of his sentence is simply too ‘severe’ for for a president’s friend to have to bear…Hmmm…The President’s view seems to be that lying to legal officials and lying to the public is not really a serious offense,unless you get caught….
